Efficient wood shavings transport: Two custom-built industrial fans with optional motor covers

When we receive project requests with unclear or conflicting technical data, we don’t just quote blindly. We pick up the phone, get in touch, and clarify – directly and professionally.

This case is a textbook example: A customer requested two transport fans for wood dust and chips, including motor covers. Typically, such covers are used for outdoor installations to shield the motor from rain, snow, and intense sunlight.

But after a quick consultation, it became clear: these fans were intended for indoor use.

So we discussed the real intention behind the request. We don’t sell things customers don’t need – but if there’s a clear reason or a specific preference, we make it happen.

The two identical fans feature 15 kW, 2-pole motors and are equipped with 500 mm reinforced impellers, optimized for wood dust transport. Each unit delivers 5,250 m³/h at 3,200 Pa.

We also included an inspection port and custom inlet and outlet transitions – and yes, motor covers were part of the final scope, just as the customer wanted.
