Giant exhaust air fans with housing partition
Oversized? No problem – split housing for two high-performance exhaust fans
When large fans reach their limits during transportation and assembly, clever technology is required. For a new project, ZENNER fans therefore opted for a well thought-out housing division - because fully assembled, the fans would each have been 3.75 m high, 3.4 m long and 2.65 m wide.
The aim was to supply two coupled, watertight exhaust fans for outdoor installation. Each of the two fans weighs around 5,300 kg and is equipped with a 1,400 mm impeller. They are driven by a 4-pole 250 kW motor, controlled via a frequency converter.
The performance is impressive: at a medium temperature of 100 °C, each fan delivers a volume flow of 134,000 m³/h and a pressure increase of 4,000 Pa.
The equipment was also implemented exactly according to customer requirements: In addition to standard components such as condensate nozzles, expansion joints and rubber buffers, two cleaning openings, reinforced Hardox blades, a removable Hardox casing wear insert and a water injection system for active cleaning in the intake area were integrated.
An all-round successful project - from design and production to implementation on site.
