Reliable performance for the glass industry – ZENNER fans for indoor use
When processes in the glass industry demand consistently high performance, absolute reliability is essential. That is precisely why a long-standing customer has once again chosen ZENNER fans for the expansion of its plant.
The requirement was for a powerful industrial fan for indoor installation that could achieve a volume flow of 40,000 m³/h and a pressure increase of 15,000 Pa in continuous operation at a medium temperature of 20°C.
The impeller used, with a diameter of 1,000 mm, is driven by a 2-pole motor with a rated power of 200 kW via a coupling and an intermediate shaft mounted in a block bearing. Control is via a frequency converter.
The fan weighs a total of 2,400 kg and was mounted on a base frame. The customer also requested:
- an inspection opening
- a condensate connection on the housing
- a connection box for the cabling
- a bearing temperature sensor on the impeller side
- and a vibration switch for monitoring
An intake nozzle with protective grille and a pressure-side compensator were integrated as accessories.
