Hot-gas fan for building materials production – 550°C and dust-resistant stainless steel impeller

In the production of building materials, high temperatures, dust-laden media, and continuous system loads often occur simultaneously. This hot-gas fan was designed specifically for such demanding operating conditions.
It conveys up to 30 m³/s of hot gas with a pressure increase of approximately 1,600 Pa. At the heart of the design is a dust-resistant stainless steel impeller with a diameter of 1,400 mm.
The fan is driven by a reliable 90 kW WEG W22 motor in the IE4 efficiency class, in a 6-pole configuration. This ensures the system is designed for stable continuous operation under demanding conditions.
To ensure the hot gas fan operates reliably even at high temperatures and with dust-laden media, it has been equipped with numerous practical features:
- Designed for medium temperatures up to 550 °C
- Split housing for transport and installation within the plant
- Large cleaning opening for easy access during maintenance and cleaning
- Automatic bearing lubrication
- Speed monitoring for additional operational reliability
- Separate cooling air blower for stable bearing cooling
Especially in high-temperature processes with high dust loads, reliability, ease of maintenance, and robust construction are crucial for trouble-free plant operation.
Together with the accessories for connection to the air ducts, a comprehensive concept was developed that is precisely tailored to the connection requirements in the customer’s plant.
A special feature is the radial impeller itself.
Technically, it stands for performance and durability; in terms of craftsmanship, for precision manufacturing. It’s a shame, really, that it’s usually not visible during later operation.

- only low temperatures or simple ventilation tasks are involved
